Brabourne Wine

Brabourne is a stunning family-run vineyard in Kent, tending pinot noir and chardonnay grapes by hand to produce a range of award-winning quality English wines.
Brabourne’s location and terroir, in an ancient Kentish village on the chalk slopes of the North Downs, is steeped in history. My client wanted a brand that would position it in a space that communicated its premium quality combined with its English provenance using a fresh and clean visual language.
When designing the company’s logo I researched the history, ecology and geology of the North Downs on which the vineyard sits. The resulting brand mark was inspired by a pattern found in a unique stained glass window in Brabourne’s village church, thought to be the oldest of its kind still in existence in England. The central flower symbol is symbolic of Brabourne Vineyard’s commitment to nature, and the encircling ring could suggest a barrel. I chose an earthy green and charcoal grey to further express brand values of respect for nature, quality and authenticity.
